No Stone Left Alone November 7, 2016
Posted on November 15th, 2016
On November 7, 2016, six students each from St. Mary's Elementary School and Fort Vermilion Public School participated in a ceremony at the local cemeteries called No Stone Left Alone. This event was organized by Mr. Darwyn Toews of the Fort Vermilion Rangers. Mr. Toews, along with fellow ranger Mr. Bill Boese, conducted the ceremony with a short speech and prayers. The students then proceeded to lay poppies alongside the headstones of war veterans. The purpose of this program is to honour our fallen military and to educate students of the sacrifice of our veterans by placing poppies at their headstones every November.
